African jacanas are a wader in the family Jacanidae, they have long toes and claws that enable them to walk on floating vegetation in shallow lakes.
Their scientific name is Actophilornis Africanus and they feed on insects and other invertebrates.
The interesting thing about African jacanas is usually they evolve in a polyandrous mating system whereby one female mates with multiple males and the male alone cares for the chicks.
